Poker Stars Gets New Pro

One lucky player online poker player has been given the best Christmas present ever.  Slovakian professional poker player Dag Palovic was named as the latest member of the Poker Stars Pro team and I’m sure he is absolutely over the moon.

Poker Stars only recently signed poker phenomenon Isildur1 and now they have just added Slovakia’s top player to their squad of sponsored professionals.  Dag Palovic is a 35 year old Bratislava resident and he only started playing poker in 2007.  Prior to this he worked as a well known television and music presenter.  He also wrote Slovakia’s first poker book which is titled How To Become A Poker Pro.

Dag is a member of Mensa and he can also speak six different languages which include English, French, German and Russian.  Throughout his live tournament games he has already earned over $774,647.  Dag has been a star player in his home country for many years now and he only began to gain worldwide recognition when he gains two very deep runs in the main event of the World Series of Poker.

In 2009 Palovic finished in 120th place but in 2010 he made it all the way to 37th place.  Over these two years he has managed to outlast more players than anyone else in the 2009 and 2010 main events.  When he finished in 37th place in the World Series of Poker in 2010 he won a whopping $206,395.  He has also won a number of other championships this year and according to him it is a great opportunity to play as a team member of the largest online poker site in the world.   He hopes to improve his results in the future to become a really good and visible member of Team Poker Stars Pro.

I’m sure we will hear a lot more about this online poker player in 2011 so be sure to keep your ears open.  Of course if you are a member of the Poker Stars website you will be able to play against this newest signing and details of this can be found on the Poker Stars website.
